Well it's been a long time since I posted - where does time go? So what have I been up to?
Last weekend Warren, Max, Emily and Harrison came to stop, quite a scary prospect having 2 small children stopping when you're not used to them at all! but I think it went well, Paul and I both did bedtime stories and I fed Harrison, never having had this experience I was flushed with success - they did say he likes that so it's easier - I voluntered again the next day when Harrison was not so happy and it was lumpier, not so easy!! We all played on the Wii, reviving my student days with Warren as flatmate and Paul who came down most weekends (with his extra controllers) of MarioKart and Bomberman on the super Nintendo. I beat them at Tennis much to their amazement but Emily was quite amazing at boxing?! Max and I also went shopping, so fab to get some girly shopping time in!
On the knitting side I got a bit carried away on ebay having been sniped several times I desperately tried to snipe and failed! But I did get 10 balls of cotton cashmere in light purple - just need to decide what to knit with it! I gave up on bidding and bought on the buy now option some green astrakan type wool to do a jacket in and then went to John Lewis to discover their bargain bin was rather full - after wandering round clutching rather a lot of wool studying pattern books I restrined myself to 11 balls of Rowan Cottan braid and a pattern for it!
Gardening in this weather has been hard going, it's managed to rain most days off, plants are growing rather oddly or not growing, today though I gave in and gardened in the rain as I really had to get the veg. plot under control and this evening we had Sunday dinner with all home grown veg. very tasty!
Here's some of my sweetpeas that are growing incredibly well and I have to keep picking in the rain!

Thank you for such a wonderful time Sal! It was Harrisons first holiday too! It was lovely to see you both, especially for the shopping time away from the kids, which I did get rather excited about! xxx
